Bram your link is the “Open Secrets” article, it’s interesting. Years ago someone from Enron came to a recruiting day when I was at university. Some of my class were quite “buzzy” and excited about the presentation, others of us were uncomfortable with his credibility and the picture painted but couldn’t really state why.

So yes transparency is important – but we should trust our own judgement as well, as you said “too much of a good thing, ain’t good”

Totally agree on the Enron article being interesting. I remember reading the article in the New Yorker shortly after it came out (it’s still available via http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2007/01/08/070108fa_fact) and I was blown away. It changed my perspective on transparency. But I could have known of course: too much of a good thing ain’t good…
